The YKK Group, a Japanese conglomerate of manufacturing companies, is the world's largest zipper manufacturer, crafting a range of fastening products, architectural items, plastic hardware, and industrial machinery. Operating across 109 facilities in 71 countries, YKK produces fasteners and architectural products on a global scale.

Witnessing Turkey's burgeoning textile manufacturing sector, the YKK Group entered the Turkish market in the early 1990s, establishing operations in Cerkezkoy. Rapidly ascending to the market leader position, YKK became the primary supplier for most textile manufacturers in Turkey. The expanding business landscape and diverse customer base necessitated a strategic enhancement of YKK's digital infrastructure to streamline business processes and adhere to YKK standards. The initiative involved the digitalization of order processing and customer relationship management.

In 2002, YKK initiated collaboration with Fenix Idea, seeking to establish a digital B2B platform tailored to their customer base. After analyzing work processes, I formulated the project framework, delineated phases, and crafted functional requirements.

The initial phase encompassed the development of a web-based catalog and online ordering system featuring a comprehensive product library, membership and authorization modules, order tracking, reporting mechanisms, and robust security solutions. Leading a team of five, we successfully created a server and client-based application.

The second phase concentrated on enhancing customer engagement by introducing additional features to the client application, such as campaigns, promotions, notifications, press releases, newsletters, news updates, fashion trends, and surveys.

For the third phase, our focus shifted to building a desktop application called "e-guide," empowering clients to receive real-time notifications and interact with YKK. The e-guide aimed to foster a connected community, analyze trends, and establish a sustainable communication channel for upcoming campaigns, promotions, and a potential custom e-commerce platform.

Over the years, YKK utilized our applications, leveraging cutting-edge technology to fortify its customer base and assert dominance in the market.
