Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce
About
Steeped in both tradition and achievement, the Chamber of Commerce played a pivotal role in shaping the globally recognized brand of Beverly Hills.
According to the 1920 United States Census, the newly incorporated City of Beverly Hills was home to 674 residents. Positioned as "Midway between Los Angeles and the Sea," the burgeoning community, filled with pride and optimism, confronted inevitable challenges in its early years.
The real estate boom of the early 1920s brought about various issues for the residents, necessitating the establishment of new businesses to support the expanding population. On May 1, 1923, a gathering of sixty individuals marked the inaugural meeting that swiftly evolved into the Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce.
On June 11, 1923, the establishment of the Chamber of Commerce within Beverly Hills was approved through organizational proceedings and a subsequent motion.
