About
The International Turkey Ukraine Business People Association (TUİD) was established in 2004 in the capital city of Ukraine, Kyiv, by a group of Turkish businessmen under the auspices of the Republic of Turkey Embassy in Kyiv. Today, with its Kyiv headquarters, TUİD has branches across Ukraine and a representative office in Istanbul. Efforts are ongoing to open branches in other cities of Ukraine. Among the association's members are prominent Turkish companies and institutions such as Eczacıbaşı, Arkas Holding, our flagship carrier Turkish Airlines (THY), the largest Turkish bank in Ukraine, Credit Europe, Lifecell (Turkcell), Onur Construction, Dalgakıran, Nobel Pharmaceuticals, Colin's, Evyap, as well as leading international groups in the country like EBRD, Arcelor Mittal, BASF, Hilton, Intercontinental, Reckitt Benkiser, with Turkish executives in Ukraine. Since its establishment, TUİD has embraced inclusivity, and its membership includes various small and medium-sized Turkish and Ukrainian companies from different sectors operating in Ukraine.
To enhance communication among foreign-funded organizations in the country, strengthen relationships, and foster closer connections among business people and expatriates, TUİD has established a collaborative framework with other foreign business associations. TUİD has engaged in joint initiatives with institutions such as the American Chamber of Commerce (ACC), German Business Association (DWK), Italian-Ukrainian Business Association (AIU), International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), British-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce (BUCC), and the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TPPU) within Ukraine. Additionally, TUİD has contributed to organizing a business forum in Kyiv by collaborating with the European Business Association (EBA) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in recent years.
Social Responsibility Projects
The Turkish Ukraine Business People Association (TUİD) completed the Odesa Orphanage Renovation and Furnishing project in 2012, one of the most significant charitable initiatives ever undertaken by a business association in Ukrainian history. This project was accomplished with approximately USD 200,000 in both in-kind and cash contributions. In 2008, the Emergency Care Unit of Darnitsa Hospital in Kyiv was renovated using a similar amount of resources, approximately USD 200,000. Every year, collaborative events are organized with various charitable organizations in Ukraine, primarily focusing on the Chornobyl Children's Fund and others.
